Jian Swords

The Jian is a straight, double-edged sword that was primarily used in Chinese martial arts and warfare. It's often compared to the European longsword, but there are a few key differences. For one, the Jian is typically lighter and more flexible than its Western counterpart, allowing for faster strikes and greater precision.

But beyond its technical features, the Jian is a sword with a rich cultural and mythological legacy. In Chinese legend, the Jian was often associated with the dragon —- a symbol of power, wisdom, and good luck. It was said that only the most skilled and virtuous warriors could wield the Jian, which is partially true since its requires talent and lots of practice to master this sword.
